Worth a visit if in the area and they have a wind in the willows display which entertain s children and they do workshops for children during holidays. Cafe serves fresh food and had plenty of seat space inside and out. Child friendly and plenty of washroom space.
Rude old lady at the ticket desk turned my 90 year old great aunt away from the cafe because they had chosen to close an hour early without notice, even though my partner and I had been stood there for 5 minutes while the cafe was open, waiting for her to be helped out of the car. I hope the offending staff member had many encounters with joyless souls, such as herself, in her later years.
A nice museum with plenty of things to see, all of which are worth the entry price. Alongside this is an absolutely lovely cafe with brilliant service and fantastic options. Would definitely recommend if you have children, and if you don't.
Interesting varied content for river and rowing information with local history and Thames too. Child friendly. The Wind in the Willows display and story telling is wonderfully portrayed.
A really great museum for families or couples. Particularly great just to potter around in on a rainy day. The permanent Wind-in-the-willows exhibit is probably worth the entry price alone! Lots of interactive displays to keep kids of all ages amused and a nice cafe serving some high-quality food. Lots of parking on-site and the ticket gives each holder entry for the year. Highly recommended.
