I am so glad that Franco Belge is still here, and are as good as ever.What some people may not necessarily know, is that you can buy delicious freshly baked bread here too!They may not bake lots of varieties, actually usually just a choice of two, large white and large multi seeded, but both are truly delicious!I grew up in an Oxfordshire village, where we were lucky enough to have a village bakery, all baked in an old traditional wood fired oven, yes, we were really spoilt!It's not until you grow up and move away, learn that the bakery closed down a few years after I moved, that you realise just how lucky I had been.So my quest since those happy times has always been to try and find bread that at least gets somewhere close to the quality I was use to, not an easy task I can tell you!But all I will tell you is that the bread from Franco Belge in Henley On Thames is delicious! So if you have not tried it yourself as yet, give it a go.Of course Franco Belge also sell a delicious range of freshly made sandwiches and rolls too, definitely worth a visit!

What a lovely bunch of people always friendly and chatty . On top of this their food is awesome, a personal favourite of mine is the apple and apricot sponge - tasting this bad boy is like a religious experience. All bacon is cooked to order and on Friday mornings it is impossible to resist the call of a bacon roll. If you are in Henley I strongly recommend this wonderful establishment - Keep up the good work guys!
