Came here this evening .. landlord was miserable.. we were up visiting and wanted food.. menus dotted around but after waiting with menu in hand at the bar for 20 minutes was told quite abruptly " kitchen closed until 2nd of January" .. no signs anywhere saying this

Very nice pub hidden a bit behind Henleys town hall and square. A very welcoming atmosphere and friendly knowledgeable staff made for a great afternoon. We ordered a few light bites to keep us going and it was all delicious. Will pop back in next time I'm in Henley-on-Thames.Only minor downside is its a shame there is no outside seating.
